Blackheads are an eyesore and popping them out is a hell lot of pain. They are basically skin pores that get clogged with dead skin and oil, which in turn produce bumps. And exposure to air makes these bumps look black. Of all the types of skin problems, blackheads are the toughest to deal with. Not only are they hard to prevent, they are equally hard to get rid off.

It’s time to evict blackheads from your skin and take control of your complexion. We’re going to teach you how to get rid of clogged pores and banish blackheads, within seven days.

  What causes black head

The real question is how do pores get clogged, which in turn cause whiteheads and blackheads to appear. Here are some reasons why those blackheads are appearing on your skin:

  • Excessive production and secretion of oil or sebum that clogs the pores.
  • Irregular shedding of dead skin cells that clogs and irritates the hair follicles.
  • Hormonal changes in the body due to age (puberty especially), or health conditions like stress. In women, PMS (premenstrual syndrome) and PCOD (polycystic ovarian disorder) cause blackheads.
  • Medications that cause hormonal changes like birth control pills, or steroid-based drugs, like corticosteroids.

Some dermatologists believe that intake of carbohydrate rich foods and drinks could also lead to it. This could easily trigger the acne responsible for these blackheads.

1. Honey:

Honey tastes amazing. It can also be a game-changer for people who want to say sayonara to unsightly blackheads on their faces. Honey doesn’t just say farewell to blackheads. It also nurtures and hydrates the complexion. Put raw honey on your face right after washing it. Make sure your face is thoroughly dry. Allow the honey to remain on your skin for approximately twenty minutes in total. Use warm water to rinse it away. You don’t have to hesitate using honey for blackhead removal once per day.

2. Lemon juice:

Lemon juice is a staple in kitchens everywhere. It also can do away with skin cells that are dull and lifeless. It’s an astringent that’s 100% natural. That’s also why it can help you forget all about those unattractive blackheads. Utilize cotton wool before turning in for the evening. This wool can do a lot for people who want to put lemon juice on their visages. Allow the juice to remain as you sleep. You can wash it away with the assistance of water that’s nice and warm after you wake up the next morning. You can do so each evening for seven days. Note, however, that you shouldn’t go overboard with lemon juice. That’s because it can be severely drying.

3. Green tea:

Green tea is a refreshing beverage that’s been delighting people in Japan for longer than most of the world knows. It can help people with weight management and more. It can even be a game-changer for people who want to combat blackheads. Green tea can minimize the skin’s manufacturing of oil. It’s also a fantastic antioxidant. Blend water and green tea leaves that are dry. Go for single teaspoons of each ingredient. Rub the mixture into your complexion for about three full minutes.

4. Tea tree oil:

Tea tree oil is seen in all kinds of popular skincare products these days. This oil can also do away with irritating blackheads. You can put tea tree oil straight onto any problematic sections. This oil can be fitting for people who want to manage blackheads that are on top of their noses and chins. How does tea tree oil operate. It destroys bacteria that can lead to the presence of frustrating and persistent blackheads. You can opt for tea tree oil in essential oil form. It’s a staple in creams and soaps as well.

5. Oil cleansing:

Oil cleansing is a skin care method that uses noncomedogenic oils (oils that don’t clog pores) to melt and clear away the dirt and oil on skin. It may seem counterintuitive to add oil to oily skin but some experts recommend it, as it’s safe and gentle for the skin barrier.

Oil cleansers work on the principle of ‘like dissolves like. So they can help remove excess oils from the surface of the skin. Because blackheads form when a pore becomes clogged with dead skin cells and oil, removing excess oil can be helpful.

6. Turmeric:

Current research on its effectiveness as an acne treatment is positive, albeit limited. Though one study found certain extracts made from turmeric had anti-acne effects. Of course, just because something hasn’t been studied definitively or exhaustively doesn’t mean it won’t work. If you’re down for an experiment, try making a turmeric face mask at home.

Keep in mind, though, turmeric can temporarily stain skin so we recommend using it twenty four hours or more before an important event, or any event you don’t want an orange-ish face for.

Things you shouldn’t do

Once you’ve spotted blackheads, you want them gone yesterday. Unfortunately, some of the quick solutions can have daunting consequences to your skin and lead to even more breakouts.

  • Pore strips

Let’s settle this: are pore strips bad. Removing a pore strip to see a forest of gunk from your pores may be oddly satisfying, (to some… we don’t judge here) but your skin ultimately won’t be satisfied. Let’s take a look at how pore strips (or nose strips) work.

The strips are made out of a strong adhesive that removes top layers of dead skin cells and blackheads. It’s similar to putting a piece of duct tape or a bandage on your skin, then ripping it off.

While pore strips may pluck your pores, they can also remove natural oils and hairs that help your skin. This can dry out and irritate your skin, two things that can spell more breakouts.

  • Pinching, pulling and popping

You may have seen a certain doctor who loves to pop pimples. Without proper training, picking and popping can leave behind permanent scars or cause skin discoloration which can be harder to treat than acne. You also risk an infection or in some cases, push some of the contents inside the pimple deeper into the skin and increase inflammati
